What Is The School Of Christ?

The School of Christ was founded by B H Clendennen after being burdened by the Lord. He put together teachings for a bible school, that would train and prepare a people for serving the Lord in their home churches. It contains 155 lessons divided into 19 series covering biblical topics such as; The Blood, The Cross, Repentance, Rebuilding The Gates, The Church, and Revival, to name a few.

The School of Christ is a three week residential school that has been run in 150 different nations for the past 26 years. The European School is held in Limerick, Ireland every July. Whether a new convert, a mature believer or someone who is searching for Christ, we highly recommend the School. Its a wonderful opportunity to come apart for a while, seek God, gain a solid foundation in the Word of God, learn biblical truths, pray, search your heart, fellowship and worship. Many have found it to be a refreshing time immersed in the Word of God that has equipped them to go home and war a good warfare for Christ.

Our Church Members Testimonies Of The School

I first became aware of the School of Christ about 12 years ago. Since then I have attended many of the European conferences. I've needed the spiritual food that is in the messages.

I hadn't realised how much more there was to the Lord and how close a walk could get with Him until I heard the teachings of the SOC. Its made me aware how narrow the road is. Its made me more hungry for Him and every time I go to the conference my spirit is fed. Jan

I've been saved almost 15 years now and two years after being led to Christ I had a hunger for more, for a deeper walk with God. God led me to someone who pointed me to the School of Christ. After completing a week I realised this was more spiritual than I was hearing in my local church and I was eager to get back the following year to hear more. After completing the three week course over three years.

I have attended the European conference nearly every year and have found it to be an amazing time away with the Lord and the saints. I've been encouraged, challenged, strengthened , refreshed. Noel

I attended the three week School in 2017, 2018 and I've applied to go again this year. I have also been to several European SOC conferences. I have found no other place like it. To be able to come away from the world and spend three weeks in prayer, the Word, learning and fasting has had a massive impact on my walk with the Lord.

I realise now, that before I first went to the school, God had been preparing me to go. By God's grace I had left my old life and pursued after Christ. I was hungry for Him, I wanted to know more, I wanted the truth and I knew in my heart that I would find God and answers at the School. I did! I came away from it fulfilled, refreshed, enlightened, strengthened, humbled, challenged, changed and hungry for more.

It's given me a strong foundation in the Word, its opened my eyes to how narrow this walk is and the fact that in order to display Christ in His fullness to this world it is imperative to die to self. Its given me a bigger appetite for the things of God. I felt like I'd spent 3 weeks eating the finest meats, organic vegetables and purest water only to come home and realise that most places were serving greasy pasties, canned vegetables and coke. Giving out food but not what the body needed for nourishment, growth and to live a healthy life. (This is not the case in Burscough Fellowship though, praise God!).

I learned truths that have helped me understand and find my place within the body of Christ (the church) and I'm so thankful to the Lord for leading me there. I implore every believer or seeker reading this to apply for the School, if you want more of Christ, you can find Him there. Naomi

What awaited us at the convention was good teaching, praise, prayer, fellowship and challenges throughout the weekend. Everything was disciplined and in order. All the messages spoke to me. We were reminded that;

'I must decrease and He must increase'.
We need to die to self!
A church should be dead to sin.
Noah was a preacher of righteousness.
There's revival - true and fake. The former and latter represents revival.
We need to 'Wake up', deny the flesh and put on Jesus Christ and be filled with the spirit.
Holiness is Christlikeness, having the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in your life. Holiness and sanctification are required. Holiness is the will of God, God wants us to be holy because he is holy.
The bible is inerrant.
The differences between general revelation, special revelation and our response to revelation.
That 'the law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul;' and Jesus never opposed the will of God.
The excellency of Jesus Christ. He is glorious in his person, states and offices. We were reminded of the His humiliation and His exaltation.
We were reminded about living a separated life.

The weekend was like an oasis. There were reminders, encouragements and a time to look at our own hearts throughout the convention. Richard
