We are a small group of believers who gather together every Sunday to pray, fellowship, worship, break bread and hear the word of God, preached by our pastor Noel Jamison. We stir up our minds to remember what Christ has done for us and provided for us at the cross of Calvary. It is also a time in which we search our hearts and meet with God. We are a Christ-centred, bible-based and spirit-filled church where sheep can be safely fed, led and protected. Our vision is to see revival in Burscough and the surrounding area and to see a people walking in holiness, separated from the world
We meet every Sunday at 10:30am for prayer before our 11am service, all are welcome
About Us
There is a great need for a church where the Word of God is preached and taught faithfully without compromise and where each member can be trained to serve God effectually. The western world is presently passing through a terrible spiritual famine in which it is hard to find regular, satisfying preaching and teaching from God’s truth. We have no toleration for the games, gimmicks, entertainment, foolishness of ministry, contemporary strategies, new ways of doing church, unbiblical doctrines, false revivals and other things which detract from the supreme centrality and glory of Jesus Christ.
We are a church that will test and judge all things by the written scriptures. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. It is accurate, perfect, pure and what we base our thoughts, actions, faith and hope on. We believe in living a life of holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. The grace of God, the Word of God and the Spirit of God all work together in the heart of a genuine believer to change them and make them more like Jesus Christ. Ultimately holiness is Christ-likeness.
We believe that the mission of the church is to make Christ real in our own midst and reveal Him as a risen Lord through our lives to those that are lost. We are called to preach the everlasting and unchanging Gospel to every person. We are called to win souls, disciple, teach and establish those new converts.
We believe the one and only answer for man is what Christ has accomplished when He died on the cross. Through His sacrifice and His precious shed blood men can now be redeemed, recovered and reconciled to a relationship with God the Father. The new-birth is a supernatural experience in which God makes dead men alive. We were all born in sin. All of us were born into a state of spiritual death with no desire for the true God. Spiritual death means that a man cannot see God, hear God, desire God, have faith in God, seek after God or know God in a radical life changing way unless the Holy Spirit draws him. His dead spirit is suddenly made alive in order that he may believe and live in Christ Jesus. He is suddenly made a new creature and a new person with a new heart, a new spirit, with new desires and new convictions.
A Brief History Of The Church

This church was birthed in prayer and has made each step prayerfully and carefully. We intend to move forward on our knees.
Our church leader is Noel Jamison, we follow him as he follows Christ. Noel (originally from Ireland) met Jesus Christ in 2004 and was saved out of a life of alcoholism and gambling. From the moment he was born again he was a new creature: old things had passed away, all things had become new. He spent the next 11 years getting to know Christ; praying, studying the bible, reading Christian literature and seeking out meetings where he’d be taught and fed by the word of God. He was led to a ‘School of Christ’ conference in Wales where he met Jan. After seeking the will of God they married in 2015.
Jan had been attending a house church in Ormskirk for 10 years and in 2015, after much searching of heart and mind, as well as great seeking after the will and mind of God, the group of believers looked for a building to move the church into. The church met in Bickerstaff for 4 years before the Lord provided a bulding in our home town of Burscough in 2019.
Jan was born-again in 1986 and she became a praying women. Through prayer, Christ strengthened her to cope with the birth of 6 children, a difficult marriage and then the death of her ex husband. She sought first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and was led to the ‘School of Christ’ conferences where she met Noel.

I was born and brought up in Northern Ireland during the time of all the troubles and our small village was bombed many times. All of us knew someone who had been killed. Alcohol was one way of blocking out the misery for many people.
We sought pleasure from the world and soon alcohol and gambling had taken over and were controlling my life. I had sunk down into a dark place and couldn't see a way out. I was desperate. I had no care for myself or any thought for my family. It was only when there was a crisis in the family, with the death of my mother and my new born grand-daughter was seriously ill, that I realised how precious and fragile life is. We are all just a breath away from eternity. James 4:14 '…. for what is your life? It is even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away'. In my despair I cried out to the Lord and in His mercy, He heard my cry. By God's grace my grand-daughter survived. Matthew 11:28 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are haven laden, and I will give you rest.'

From and early age I had attended a gospel hall and a Sunday school, I always knew of my need for a saviour as we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 'for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God'. Sin entered the human race because of Adam and Eve, Romans 5:19 'for as one mans disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.'

Soon after this I put my trust in Jesus as my Lord and Saviour of my life. Over ten years later I can say He has never failed me. He has taken me through many testing times each time drawing me closer to Him for His glory.
Have you put your trust in Jesus, dear sinner? I urge you to, as He can change your life just as He did mine and your decision will last for all eternity.
Proverbs 3:5-6 'Trust in The Lord will all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct they paths.'

Our Pastor's Wife
Jan Jamison
My life has been a life with many struggles. God never said it would be easy but God promises never to leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6) and I have found God to be faithful to His word.

I asked Jesus in to my life before I got married, not knowing how difficult the first 5 years would be. By the 13th year and six children later my marriage finally fell apart, but God was faithful. I trusted Him through it all because I know 'all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purposes' (Romans 8:28). I have had the privilege of bringing my children up on a firm foundation knowing about Jesus, whom we all need to know because no matter how hard we try we all fall short (sin). It is only by His death on the cross and His shed blood that we are saved from the penalty of sin, which is death. Jesus came to die for my sins and for yours and because of that the least I can do is to be obedient to His word (the bible) and by putting aside my own plans for my life and letting Him lead me in the way He wants me to go. Every day I look to Him for strength and guidance. I know God is with me and He knows what we need before I even do. God has provided all that was needed for me and my children all these years and even though only one of my children is walking with the Lord, I can see God working in each of their lives guiding and protecting them, its amazing to watch, after all, God loves them more than I do.
Who knows what the future holds for me and my family only God knows and I know whatever it is, it will be far better than I could ever have imagined or planned. My trust is in Jesus, I have found him to be faithful, He has never let me down and I know He never will.
I am still a work in progress but He loves me just the same and one day I will stand before Him knowing all my sins are forgiven because Jesus paid the price for them on the cross of Calvary.
I could not imagine how God would move in my life, over the last 5 years he has moved in a mighty way. My ex-husband came back to know the Lord in a life changing way through a teaching called the 'School of Christ' (which I would highly recommend) but the Lord called him home suddenly in 2012, which drew my eldest daughter to faith in the Lord, giving her life to Him.
In 2013, at a School of Christ conference, I met Noel (although we didn't know God would bring us together later). We met again at a conference in 2014 and this time God opened our eyes to each other and after seeking the Lord we got married in 2015.
Halleluiah, Thank You Lord!
